the sourcebook
This is the sourcebook for the 2015 class of Graduate Design at California College of the Arts. It is a zeitgeist made up of a cumulation of topics that address the current state of design, combining digital and analogue methods of making. Made in collaboration with: Lizzie Vaughn, Beth Abrahamson, & Charles Williams.
one β the structure
The sourcebook is divided into three sections which are physically nested within each other: the world (the large sized, middle section), the collective (the medium sized, outer section), and the secrets (the small sized, inner section).
two β the book
three β the experience
At the graduate student showcase, we put together a viewing room for the sourcebook, which featured all the mistake prints on the walls, free copies on the table, as well as a video of Marshall McLuhan talking about βThe Medium is the Messageβ, which was one of the guiding sources for the creation of the sourcebook.
