second floor space design
Cisco Meraki has grown at a fantastic rate over the years. And that means that we were at limits in terms of space and needed to expand.
For about a year, I worked as design lead with the head of our facilities and architecture firm O+A to create a new space that was fresh and exciting, yet still embodied that unique Meraki spirit.
one — the process
The Cisco Meraki second floor provides an array of working environments and options for an expanding workforce with two main social hubs as well a variety of unique meeting areas.
Objectives
The feel of the new floor needed to feel like a part of the rest of the office, but still have a unique and fresh energy.
Functional Needs
A flexible floor plan that allowed for plenty of relaxing, soft seating, but could convert to more desks as our employees increase.
An increase the number of meeting spaces and having those spaces meet a variety of size and meeting style needs.
Accommodate a wide variety of working styles and job needs
